TT doubles teams lose in Pan Am Squash - EntornoInteligente / News day / The national duo of Nicholas Caddle and Jonathan Blanc lost 11-6, 11-3 to the Canadian pair of Noel Heaton and Brett Schille.

The TT pair of Alexandria Yearwood and Marie Claire Barcant suffered a similiar defeat losing 11-5, 11-6 to Hannah Blatt and Grace Thomas of Canada.

Also on Monday night, Yearwood fell 11-6, 11-2, 11-2 to Thomas in the Round of 32 of the girls singles category. Yearwood then joined the other TT players in the consolation category. Yesterday in the round of 32 of the girls consolation Yearwood defeated Kayta Aceituno of El Salvador 11-7, 11-7, 11-3, before getting past Canadian Emma Mac- Gillivary 11-5, 8-11, 12-10, 11-7 in the Round of 16. Unfortunately, in the quarter-finals, Yearwood went under 11-2, 11-9, 11-13, 11-9 to Brazilian Nicole Barros.

Also, in the girls singles consolation, Barcant won in straight sets 11-5, 11-7, 11-3 over Emma Sarti of Guatemala in the Round of 32 before losing 11-3, 10-12, 11-2, 11-7 to Colombian Sophia Giraldo in the Round of 16.

In the boys consolation, Kobie Khan-Hunte of TT lost 11-3, 11-3, 11-1 in the Round of 32. In the Round of 16 Jamaican Adam Ardito defeated Jonathan Blanc of TT by default.

Nicholas Caddle (TT ) advanced to the semi-finals easily as he won by default twice, first over Juan Chavez-Abrego (El Salvador) in the round of 16 and in the quarter- finals over Ben Mekdeci (Guyana).

Caddle is scheduled to face Jeremias Azana of Argentina in the semi-finals today at 9.50 am.
