Entornointeligente.com / Trinidad Express / A 13-year-old schoolgirl who ran away from home at least three times this year has been found.
Police said Semoy Ramdhanie, a pupil of Preysal Secondary School, returned to her family on Wednesday.
She was reported missing by her father Steve Roodal, last Friday.
The teen was last seen June 21 by her mother at their Mission Road, Freeport home.
She was released from the St. Jude’s Home for Girls into her mother’s care June 9.
The teenager’s mother, Indira Ramdhanie, had reported her daughter missing in February.
She said her daughter had accompanied her to a supermarket in Couva when the teen walked away.
Ramdhanie, a mother of two, said her daughter was a “problem child” who ran away from home before but returned a day later.
Police did not disclose information on the teen’s whereabouts.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) thanked the public for its assistance in ensuring the teenager’s safe return.
