TRINIDAD Y TOBAGO: Gulf City store robbed of $.5m in electronic devices* - EntornoInteligente / Trinidad Express / la romaine   Four men armed with guns and a hammer broke into Gulf City Mall, La Romaine, and walked out with $.5 million in electronic devices yesterday. Police said the men smashed a front door and entered the shopping complex around 4 a.m. The men pointed guns at the security guards and threatened to shoot. Police said the gunmen casually walked to R&J Cell Tech Ltd on the second floor. The men used the hammer to break through the front glass door and then two glass showcases inside the store. They filled a bag with iPhones and other mobile devices and escaped in a waiting car. An employee said: “At 4.07 a.m., the alarm went off. We checked the store camera on our phone and noticed the front door was broken into. We called the police.” The employee said by the time the owners arrived at the store, the men were gone.
