Entornointeligente.com / IN between torrential rain showers on Wednesday night a house was destroyed by fire in Port of Spain.
A family of four of Basilon Street was left homeless.
No one was at home at around 7.20 p.m. when neighbours noticed smoke and called fire officers of Belmont Port of Spain Fire Departments.
The single storey wooden and concrete house was quickly destroyed and threatened houses on either side and to the back of it.
Fire officers brought the blaze under control and there was no damage to the adjacent buildings.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
