The Jamaica Tallawahs were without all-rounder Andre Russell for their second Caribbean Premier League home game against defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders at Sabina Park on Friday night, after the 31 year old was struck by a vicious bouncer in the team’s 5 wicket defeat to the St Lucia Zouks on Thursday evening.
After receiving medical care on the field, Russell was stretchered off after an attempt to walk-off failed. CT scans have since cleared the all-rounder off any injuries, a news that proved to be the only positive for the Tallawahs on the night as they lost by 5 wickets. The result leaves the Tallawahs at the foot of the table without a point.
