ZHUJI, China, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) — Qingdao Eagles beat Shandong Heroes 103-91 in the sixth round of the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Friday.
“We made a lot of turnovers, but we never gave up and did a good job on defense,” said Qingdao head coach Wu Qinglong.
“Our players from the bench didn’t provide enough support to the game,” said Shandong headcoach Gong Xiaobin.
Darius Adams led Qingdao with 33 points and 10 rebounds, followed by 24 from Zhang Chengyu. Liu Chuanxing and Wang Qingming contributed eight points apiece.
Manny Harris scored a game-high 32 points for Shandong. Gao Shiyan added 24 points and seven rebounds. Jiao Hailong had 12 points.
Qingdao took a 50-41 lead in the first half before Shandong surged to a 14-3 run to go ahead at 71-70.
Qingdao dominated the fourth quarter with a 21-2 run to reverse the game again and never looked back. Enditem
