Entornointeligente.com / All cruise passengers, as well as cruise staff, will be required to be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to travel as the tourism industry is set for a historic return.
All travel, whether by air or sea, had to be suspended in 2020 as travel restrictions were put in place in virtually all countries around the world.
With Dominica now preparing for its first cruise ship on June 6, a number of protocols have been put in place to receive the cruise and its passengers who will be traveling to the island.
“One of the key things is that Barbados will be the home port for the restart of Cruise Tourism in the summer,” Minister for Tourism, Denise Charles informed. “So all cruise passengers will have to meet the entry requirements of Barbados.”
“All cruise staff and passengers will be required to be fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to travel.”
She further added that the same protocols would apply upon arrival on the island of Dominica.
“The same protocols will apply like wearing your mask, physically distancing,” she stated before informing those present will have to show proof of a pre-approved tour to proceed to a tour.
