TASHKENT, July 29 (Xinhua) — One man was killed and another injured in a fuel tank explosion in Angor district in the southern Surkhandaryo region of Uzbekistan, the country’s emergency ministry said Wednesday.
The accident occurred during repair work when the men were trying to weld a 10-ton fuel tank filled with diesel at a warehouse owned by one of the local businesses, according to the ministry.
A second welder who had survived was hospitalized with burns. The flames destroyed an Isuzu truck parked next to the tank, the ministry said, adding that the fire was promptly extinguished. Enditem
