A new gas supply contract has been signed between the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC) and bp Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT).
The signing ceremony for the new gas supply contract took place today, Friday 23 September 2022.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart R. Young MP, who was present at the ceremony, congratulated both parties on «negotiating, in a collaborative manner, a new gas supply contract», which he observed, «secures future gas supply to … NGC…»
«This gas will be utilized for the downstream petrochemical sector and electricity production,» the energy minister stated in an official release issued by the ministry.
«The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago welcomes this crucial future supply of gas which is a clear and tangible indicator of bp’s continued commitment to Trinidad and Tobago,» he noted.
