Entornointeligente.com / Road access will be made much easier for residents of Dublanc and its surroundings as government signed a contract in excess of $1 million for the construction of the Dublanc Bridge.
The signing ceremony took place on Monday.
“I am very happy to be here to celebrate with you the clear indication of the commencement of your bridge,” Prime Minister Skerrit said.
He said the government was delivering to the people of Dublanc one of the priority needs in their community.
“We understand how important it is for vehicular traffic between the two parts of the village and therefore based on what you have said to us through your parliamentary representative, you have declared this bridge to be priority number one in this village,” the Prime Minister said.
According to Skerrit, other priorities that his government plans to address include housing nd, “to ensure that we can continue to the facilities for the many fishermen and fisherfolk who rely on fishing for their livelihood.”
The bridge, which is being financed by the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Program is expected to be completed in the next 3 months.
The Prime Minister also disclosed that very soon, residents of Colihaut will see the commencement of certain sections of the retaining wall and will soon be speaking with the residents about the second phase of the river defense wall.
