Entornointeligente.com / Jamaica Gleaner / As residents in several communities continue to deal with the dislocation caused by the recent heavy rains, the Meteorological Service says more rainfall is in the forecast for much of the island this weekend.
The Met Service says unstable atmospheric conditions associated with a Trough over the central Caribbean are expected to influence weather conditions across Jamaica for the next 24 hours.
It says the forecast is for moderate to heavy rains across most parishes, especially northern parishes.
As a result, the Met Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of all parishes.
A flash flood watch means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
The Flash Flood Watch will remain in place until 5 o?clock tomorrow afternoon.
JAMAICA: More rainfall forecasted for the weekend, Flash Flood Watch still in effect
