Entornointeligente.com / Jamaica Gleaner / The completion of upgrading work on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston has been delayed.
The US$20.5 million project was originally scheduled for completion at the end of March but was pushed back to April as stipulated by the contract.
However, that timeline was not met and a new end of May deadline has been given.
Communications manager at the National Works Agency, Stephen Shaw, yesterday said there were some issues with the project.
He didn’t pinpoint exactly what those were but insisted work had not slowed.
He said there would be no cost overrun as a result of the delay.
