Programme.
The NCEL is seeking to train a maximum of 100 participants in the third cohort of aspiring principals.
The 9-month-long programme, which is being offered through the University of the West Indies, is part of the ministry?s attempt to address serious deficits in school leadership.
It exposes participants to strategies designed to improve school and student performance, greater stakeholder involvement, sound financial management, and schooling that focuses on the development of the whole child.
Classes begin in March and the education ministry says the NCEL is still accepting applications from individuals desirous of becoming school principals.
