TALUQAN, Afghanistan, May 25 (Xinhua) — At least 10 persons were killed as two irresponsible armed groups clashed in the northern Takhar province on Sunday, a security official said Monday but declined to be named.
The clash took place Sunday morning when two irresponsible armed groups clashed in Kalafgan district of the province, resulting in the death of 10 men and injury of four others from both sides, a police official told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The clash ended after police forces arrived at the site.
Countless armed groups exist in the conflict-battered Afghanistan which often create law and order problems.
