There will be an interruption in water supply in the Diego Martin area from noon today to 6:00 am tomorrow. According to a press release from WASA, this has become necessary to facilitate emergency repairs to a leaking 22-inch diameter pipeline, at the corner of Mercer Road and Diego Martin Main Road, Diego Martin.
The works will be undertaken between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., to minimize the disruption to the flow of traffic at the job site. Areas to be affected include: Diego Martin Main Road from Crystal Stream to Wendy Fitzwillaim Boulevard including: La Estancia, Mary Avenue, Anne Avenue, Eligon Avenue, Gopaul Avenue, Rich Plain Road and environs Sierra Leone Road from Diego Martin Main Road to Morne Coco inclusive of all side streets.
The Authority further advises that it may take up to 12 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repairs. Motorists are also advised to proceed with caution when approaching the jobsite and to obey the instructions of the Traffic Control Officers on duty.
