Entornointeligente.com / Jamaica Gleaner / Marc Stamp, Gleaner Writer Harbour View clipped Sporting Central 1-0 in the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) to seal a spot in the semi-finals at Juici Patties Park in Clarendon yesterday.
The reigning RSPL champions moved to 51 points after 29 games, courtesy of a free-kick by Nicholas Beckett in the 73rd minute.
The Stars of the East made their semi-final berth safe as fifth placed Tivoli Gardens cannot surpass them on points.
With the re-introduction of the semi-finals and final format this season, Harbour View booked a place with four rounds of games remaining.
However, Sporting Central’s loss means that the Clarendon team are in danger of relegation as they remain on 34 points.
In another game, Rivoli surprised Montego Bay United 1-0 at the Bramwell Clarke Sports Complex in Ewarton, St Catherine. Davion Garrison scored the all-important goal for Rivoli in the 12th minute.
