German shares almost unchanged at start of trading Friday - EntornoInteligente /

BERLIN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) — German stocks were almost unchanged at the start of trading on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index gaining 4.87 points, or 0.04 percent, opening at 12,462.57 points.

The biggest winner among Germany’s largest 30 companies at the start of trading was German software company SAP, increasing 0.59 percent, followed by pharmaceutical company Bayer with 0.38 percent and chipmaker and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon with 0.35 percent.

Shares of Wirecard fell by 0.86 percent. The German payment service provider was the biggest loser at the start of trading Friday.

On Friday, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) announced that producer prices of industrial products in Germany were 0.3 percent higher compared to last year.

The German climate cabinet will meet on Friday to decide on various measures to speed up Germany progress in reducing greenhouse gases in order to achieve the national target for 2030.

In the second quarter of 2019, the shares of renewable in Germany increased again. Now, nearly half of the electricity supplied in Germany was produced from renewables, according to figures by Destatis Friday.
