Entornointeligente.com / Four men and three women who are said to be members of the King Valley Gang in Westmoreland are now in police custody. They were arrested during Thursday’s major anti-gang operation in the community of King Valley. The 7-hour operation, which started at 5:30 a.m., targeted members of the gang. Deputy Commissioner in charge of crime, Fitz Bailey, on Thursday night told Radio Jamaica News that the seven detainees have been transported to Kingston for questioning. DCP Bailey said 22 rounds of ammunition were also seized during the operation. In July last year, six men who were accused of being members of the King Valley gang were acquitted in the Home Circuit Court. The men were freed of several charges including suspicion of being part of a criminal organisation, conspiring to commit murder, extortion and lottery scamming.
