With several clubs being affected financially due to the COVID- 19 pandemic and the suspension of the Premier League, the 12 clubs can breathe a little easier as help is coming their way. The Sports Development Foundation (SDF) has made $6.5 million available for the clubs and the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA).
The request for assistant towards the clubs was made in March and was ratified on August 28. Each club will be given $500,000 each in a one-off grant of $10,000 each to thirty players as well as other members and administrators within the club. $500,000 will be paid directly to the PLCA to assist with administrative expenses.
