The police are insisting that the more than 200 vendors displaced by Sunday’s fire at the May Pen market in Clarendon will not be allowed to operate along Main Street in the town.   Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips, Operations Officer for the Clarendon Police, said the police will be maintaining order in May Pen.   SSP Phillips and members of the Clarendon Municipal Corporation met with the vendors Monday morning.   He is urging the vendors to cooperate with the police as they work to ensure the best interest of all will be secured.     Winston Maragh, Mayor of May Pen and Chairman of the Clarendon Municipal Corporation, told RJR News Monday afternoon that there are several theories about how the fire at May Pen market started. However, he said arson has been ruled out as the cause.
