The qualification and disqualification provisions at Sections 39 and 40 long need to be revised and updated, putting it mildly,” she insisted.     There have long been calls for the role and functions of members of  parliament to be properly defined.   In the run-up to the 2016 General Election, Prime Minister Andrew Holness promised he would issue job descriptions for cabinet members.   However, that commitment is yet to be fulfilled.
