Man Heard Threatening Woman’s Life In Phone Conversation Charged

Entornointeligente.com / The man who was heard threatening a woman in a telephone conversation on March 30 has been charged with malicious communication.   Peter Maye, a 46-year-old farmer of Hartlands in St. Catherine, has also been charged with preventing a person from buying or selling.   He was arrested on Saturday.   It is alleged that Mr. Maye telephoned the woman, who is a vendor at the Ocho Rios Market in St. Ann, and made several threats to kill her.    The police say the woman became fearful for her life and stopped selling at the market.    Mr. Maye was charged on Wednesday.
