Entornointeligente.com / Madrid, Spain – The Velutini and IEMCA Groups are joining forces to develop a tourism project in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata, which will add 1,012 additional rooms to the hotel offer on the northern coast of the country. Luis Emilio Velutini says the new Green One Playa Dorada project will be built with an investment of over US$100 million, generating more direct and indirect jobs for Puerto Plata, strengthening the growth of Dominican tourism and the economy of the area.

The first phase of the project will be the total remodeling of 17 villas and 9 buildings of three levels that exist in the Puerto Plata Village hotel and the construction of a new hotel of 175 rooms for a total of 445 and a beach club of 300 meters, which will begin in the first quarter of this year and is projected to be completed by the end of this year. The information was made public by Brahim Selman, of the IEMCA Group and Luis Emilio Velutini, together with the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García, during the thirty-ninth edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which is being held in the Iberian nation.

Luis Emilio Velutini said the second phase will consist of the construction of a 175-room hotel and three seven-story buildings, which will house 343 additional rooms. Meanwhile, in the last stage, four seven-story buildings will be added, totaling 224 additional rooms, and a shopping mall with eight stores will be built at the entrance to the project. In this sense, the Luis Emilio Velutini congratulated to the people of Republic Dominican for this alliance, being IEMCA a successful group in tourism and one of the main ones in Puerto Plata, as well as Velutini, major developers in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, and now they are moving to the north coast.
