News day / The release said the problem was discovered on Saturday evening and WASA was up to yesterday still working on the problem in order to have supplies restored in the shortest possible time.
WASA advised customers that it is working with TTEC to assess the extent of the problem and in the meantime, customers are advised to manage stored water efficiently as a limited truck-borne water service is available but will give priority to key stakeholders first, such as medical institutions, schools, Homes for the Elderly etc, before dealing with private homeowners and businesses.
Areas affected include Sangre Grande, Guaico, Manzanilla, Coryal and environs; La Horquetta; Malabar Phases 1, 3 and 4; Tumpuna Road South, Brazil Village, San Raphael; OMeara Road; Carapo; Sunrise Park, Millennium Park; Mausica Road, Crescent Gardens; Maloney; Oropoune Gardens; Golden Grove Road and Five Rivers in Arouca.
