Curacao Chronicle / PHILLIPSBURG – Winair (WM, St. Maarten) is planning to begin jet operations in the coming weeks as part of plans to start 2x weekly flights routed Curaçao-St. Maarten-Port au Prince and return.
The St. Maarten-based carrier’s Vice President/Director (Marketing & Sales and Customer Services), Claudio Buncamper, said in a statement Winair is looking to use a wet-leased MD-82/3 to run the route. The launch is contingent on final approvals being secured.
Winair operates five DHC-6-300s on scheduled passenger flights connecting Antigua, Basseterre, Beef Island, Dominica Cane Field, Nevis, St. Maarten, Saba, and Saint Eustatius.
