Curacao Chronicle / WILLEMSTAD – The MAN faction in parliament wants to present a bill proposal for a general pension. In the first place to fill a pension gap nowadays for the employee who reaches the age of 60.
After all, the pension (AOV) entitled age has been increased to 65, but many employees are ‘discarded’ at the age of sixty.
But it must also be an arrangement to receive a supplementary pension in addition to the AOV benefit. The Members of Parliament for the blue party have therefore submitted an initiative law last Friday to the parliamentary chair on this general pension.
MAN-chairwoman Elza Roozendal was able to indicate how necessary the introduction of such a law is, but does not know how much additional pension an employee who has worked his whole life up to his sixtieth year can count on.
