Raising songs such as Onward Christian Soldiers, they travelled through the streets with palm branches and crosses made of palms, in remembrance of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on a donkey many years ago in a build-up to the Crucifixion.
On their return to the church, Haynes did the traditional “Knock On The Door” before the congregation entered to continue their morning service. (RL)
