THE Ministry of Education has taken note of the number of school-aged people involved in criminal activity in recent times and says a lack of community involvement is partly to blame for young persons turning to crime and gangs. In a release yesterday, Education Minister Anthony Garcia urged the national community to “be your brother’s keeper” and return to the days of a village raising a child. “It is this new-found, hands-off approach that has led to the significant breakdown in the development of our youth,” he said.
